The Teams
As a survivor, unlock large arsenals of firearms, explosives and improvised melee weapons. Can you stop the waves of undead? Will you engage the horde head-on, or barricade and fortify while your friends play sniper? If all else fails, Panic! Then run as if your lives depend on it… for they surely do.
As a zombie, you’re free to hunt the living like the rabid beast you are. Feast upon their flesh and unlock your inner berserker. Heightened zombie night-vision gives you the upper hand in dark environments. Infect survivors as the carrier zombie (patient zero), to weaken their defenses, then sadistically watch them turn on each other. Use it all to your advantage to strategics, ambush, conquer and destroy your oblivious living counterparts.
Zombie Panic!
Zombie Panic! is essentially a zombies vs. human survivors mod, with the zombies trying to wipe out the humans, and vice versa.
The catch that makes it fun and interesting is that all players except one join the human team at the start of the round, and only one person starts off as a zombie.
The zombies respawn when killed, but when a human is killed he respawns as a zombie, and joins in hunting down his former friends.
Note: Zombie Panic! is a modification for Half-Life 1. Ownership of the latter is required to play the game
Gamemode
Zombie Panic! Source hosts a variety of game modes for excellent replayability. Explore the zombie apocalypse with:
• Survival Mode: Put your ability to scavenge and survive to the test. Easily the top player choice.
• Objective Mode: You’re on a mission. Whether it’s to escape or defeat the horde, you’d better use your brainz to find those keys, get the power back on, hack that computer, and get to the chopper! Otherwise… I think you know what happens.
• Hardcore Mode: For experienced zombie connoisseurs, you and your teammates get to enjoy pitting yourselves against extra tough foes, and even rougher odds.

Zombie Panic! Source is a cooperative survival-horror Half-Life 2 first-person shooter modification. It is the sequel to the Half-Life mod Zombie Panic. Set in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, players start as a small group of survivors attempting to stay alive. Each map will have its own objectives to complete and win the round or survive by a period of time.
Initially released on December 28, 2007 via Mod DB page as a public beta (v1.0) and later re-released for Steam via Steamworks in October 8, 2008 as a free-to-play game.
Gameplay
At the start of each round, players can either choose to join the human team or volunteer to be the first zombie. If no one volunteers the game will pick one zombie randomly, and the game begins. The starter zombie's goal is to kill the humans while the human goal is to stay alive as long as possible, complete objectives, or even wipe out all the zombies. The catch is that when a human dies he will simply join the ranks of the undead, now ready to finish off his old living teammates. The humans cannot tell by the player list who is alive and who is undead.
Eventually, there will only be one survivor still standing if everything goes wrong, his back against the wall while facing the animated corpses of his former allies. In a survival round, the zombies team only has a certain number of reinforcements (lives), and when a zombie is killed they lose a life from the counter. However, when a human is killed they gain 1 life. When the zombies run out of lives, the remaining survivors win the round by killing off the remaining undead left on the map. In objective rounds, zombies get an unlimited number of lives while the humans must complete a variety of map-based objectives to win.

En tant que zombie, vous êtes libre de chasser les survivants telles les bêtes enragées que vous êtes. Appréciez un banquet de chair et déverrouillez votre rage intérieure. La vision nocturne augmentée des zombies vous donne l'avantage dans les environnements sombres. Infectez les survivants en tant que Porteur (patient zéro) pour affaiblir leur défense, et les regarder sadiquement se combattre entre eux. Utilisez tout à votre avantage pour établir stratégies, embuscades afin de conquérir et détruire vos homologues vivants inconscients.
Modes de jeu
Zombie Panic! Source propose une variété de modes de jeu pour une excellente jouabilité. Explorez l'apocalypse zombie avec :
• Mode Survie : mettez au défi vos compétences de survie et de récupération. Le mode de jeu le plus joué.
• Mode Objectif : vous avez une mission. Peu importe s'il s'agit de s'enfuir ou de combattre la horde, vous feriez mieux d'utiliser votre cerveau pour trouver ces clés, rétablir l'électricité, pirater cet ordinateur, et aller à l'hélicoptère ! Sinon... je pense que vous savez ce qui vous attend.
• Mode Hardcore : pour les experts en zombies, vous et vos coéquipiers allez devoir apprécier une piqûre contre des ennemis plus forts, et également plus de chance.
